What kind of workshop is this?[edit]

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Why run SELinux?
  • SELinux contexts
  • Policies
  • SELinux auditd & logfiles
  • booleans
  • context en labeling
  • file systems
  • extra questions?

How long will the workshop last?[edit]

Something between 3 and 4 hours, depending on the amount of questions

What do I need to participate?[edit]

If you want to participate you will need an SELinux capable system you can play around with (I will be using Fedora / CentOS). You are encouraged to use one of previous mentioned systems too. You can install a distro in a virtual machine of course. As an extra we could try to configure SELinux on debian too, but I never tried that before. You can find a howto here.

How much does it cost?[edit]

It is free for members and non members are kindly asked to make a donation, the more, the better!

What language will this workshop be in?[edit]

the slides will be in English, but I can speak Dutch too. it all depends on the audience

Meeting afterwards[edit]

Anonymisation books[edit]

Right now the books both in 0x20 as hsb contain full names of members. It was decided:

  • Books should be open
  • There is no need to work with real names there, nicks are just as good
  • We will use nicks iso names for the membership payments
